Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations Job Opening in salem, Oregon - Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations Willamette University seeks candidates for the full time position of Assistant Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations (CFR). The Assistant Director of CFR is an entry-level fundraising professional, responsible for the identification, solicitation, and stewardship of foundation and corporate prospects. The work involves considerable contact with individuals inside and outside the University and therefore requires advanced interpersonal and communication skills. The variety of duties implies the need for good time management and the ability to prioritize. Access to sensitive materials assumes a high degree of confidentiality. Some travel and evening work will be required. Supervision is not a normal part of this position. This is a full-time 12-month administrative appointment (year round). Salary range starts at $32,000 per year and is commensurate with experience and qualifications. This position also offers an attractive benefits package. Essential Functions The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following functions, which are not listed in any particular order of importance or significance: with the Director of CFR to develop annual solicitation strategy for corporate and foundation prospects. prospects and interests, and matches sources of funding to campaign, special project, and annual fund opportunities. the Director of CFR, serves as point-of-contact, clearinghouse and adviser for foundation and corporate giving activity across campus. a portfolio of foundation and corporate prospects. Develops/manages annual calendar of activity. proposals and required stewardship reports in coordination with relevant academic units. with Donor Relations to effectively steward foundation and corporation donors. an in-depth knowledge of the University?s programs, administrative and financial organizations, and inspires the respect and confidence of the prospects and executive, academic, administrative, and volunteer leadership. appropriate, establishes personal contact with representatives of funding sources and coordinates visits between representatives and campus officials/academic units. Travels as necessary. with the Director of CFR to ensure that all initiatives for prospects are completed in a timely manner. and edits tracking system reports for accuracy and completeness for assigned prospects. electronic files on funding agencies. Uses web tools to maintain contact reports and move prospects from research and cultivation to the solicitation cycle. the University as requested. other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills and abilities required to perform the essential functions of the position. Bachelor's degree required. be comfortable in a high-pressure, fast-paced environment while effectively executing a challenging set of corporate and foundation solicitation and stewardship plans. of two years of experience working with a non-profit organization, as a volunteer or employee, preferably in fundraising. written and oral communication skills. Candidates will need to demonstrate highly-developed writing skills and will be expected to submit writing samples. of and ability to use a variety of software applications as they relate to research, writing, project management, and creation of collateral materials. to perform occasional required travel. interpersonal skills to establish and maintain good working relationships with broad constituencies in a manner that positively portrays the University and its programs, personnel, and philosophies. commitment to teamwork and the ability to motivate volunteers, faculty and staff as well as the ability to work independently. to private higher education.
