Summer Music Teacher & New Teachers for -2012 Job Opening in miami, Florida - Summer Music Teacher & New Teachers for -2012 Position: Teacher Reports to: Principal Position description: The Teacher is responsible for providing an educational atmosphere where students have the opportunity to fulfill their potential for intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual and psychological growth. This person is responsible for organizing and implementing an instructional program that will result in students achieving academic success in accordance with Sevenstar Academy policies. Music Teacher: Job Discription: The Music Teacher will be responsible for developing in each pupil an appreciation of the art of music as part of general culture. He/She will teach techniques of vocal or instrumental music expression; discover and develop talents of pupils in the field of music; and develop knowledge and skills in listening to and reading music in accordance with the State frameworks. Plan a balanced music program and organize daily class time so that preparation, rehearsal, and instruction can be accomplished within allotted time. Provide individual and small-group instruction to adapt the curriculum to the needs of each pupil for grades Kindergarten - 8th grade. New Teachers for 11/12: (Grades Kindergarten- 8th grade) Implements instructional activities that contribute to a climate where students are actively engaged in meaningful learning experiences. Identifies, selects, and modifies instructional resources to meet the needs of the students with varying backgrounds, learning styles, and special needs. Assists in assessing changing curricular needs and offers plans for improvement. Maintains effective and efficient record keeping procedures. Provides a positive environment in which students are encouraged to be actively engaged in the learning process. Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing, with students, parents, and other professionals on a regular basis. Collaborates with peers to enhance the instructional environment. Models professional and ethical standards when dealing with students, parents, peers, and community.
