Our client is an innovative manufacturing company in the Burlington, VT area that's been in business for 30 years. They are in search of a Staff Accountant to join their team. This is a permanent / direct hire job opportunity. A well qualified candidate will have experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and General Ledger.
Responsibilities for the Staff Accountant Job in the Burlington, VT area:
Monitor overdue accounts and collections
Review A/P invoices and statements for accuracy
Daily bank statement reconciliation.
Prepare reports for managers
Prepare drafts for customer Letters of Credit
Prepare sales and use taxes
Financial audits and bank audits
Anticipate potential problems and communicate to CFO and VP Finance
Skills Needed for the Staff Accountant Job in the Burlington, VT area:
Accounting Degree (preferred)
3 - 5 years accounting experience
Strong knowledge of accounting principles
Experience state/federal tax issues
Excellent computer skills; Windows-based accounting software
Demonstrate ability to work independently and with minimal supervision
