Construction Materials Regional Sales Representative Job Opening in Franklin, Tennessee - Our growing manufacturing business seeks an experienced, motivated Sales Representative to call on the construction industry, determine the need and application of our innovative, sustainable products. We're looking for a professional who can quickly absorb and retain product knowledge. Preferably has a background in product sales, construction industry, construction engineering, or architecture. The successful candidate will receive on-the-job training, then take over management of specified accounts. On average, 200+ calls per week will be required and 10 to 20 in-person sales calls per week. Responsibilities
Call on prospective customers and referral sources: Contractors, Architects, Engineers, Property Managers, Developers,.
Meet weekly, monthly and quarterly sales quotas
Prepare and submit weekly sales reports to management
Learn how products are applied to projects and how to troubleshoot issues with customers
Suggest applicable and relevant upsells to help customers complete their jobs on-time and under budget.
Skills
Bachelor's degree preferred but not required.
2+ years' sales experience a plus
Ability to translate construction jargon
Familiarity with construction process, timelines and project processes.
Experience working with sales volumes greater than $200,000
Willingness to work from remote locations when needed
Comprehensive skills with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Powerpoint.
Clear speaking voice
Ability to write clear, concise and effective communications to management and customers.
No fear of speaking publicly
Valid Drivers License and Automobile
Compensation
This is a commission only position. Candidate should have the ability to sustain personal finances until the order is completed.
