Sr. Healthcare Analyst ? Regulatory Reporting Job Opening in Mesa, Arizona - Growing, dynamic healthcare management organization seeks a full-time Senior Analyst for its Informatics department. This position is best suited for a detail oriented person who possesses an in-depth knowledge of healthcare data, codes and processes and applies their knowledge to meet regulatory reporting requirements. This position reports directly to the Senior Director of Informatics.
* Note:
NO telecommuting, employee must live in the local Phoenix area and report to our Mesa, Arizona office. Relocation assistance is not available.
Primary Duties:
Designs and produces timely and accurate data extracts for reporting of 5-Star ratings, HEDIS, state specific programs and other client initiatives.
Analyze health management programs including: data collection, validation and outcome measurement.
Utilizes SSRS, SSIS, SQL programming, Excel and/or other business intelligence tools to extract needed data.
Writes original code and modify existing code, as needed, to execute projects to specifications, and assist in the development of these specifications.
Perform internal data cleansing, extractions and reconciliations.
Monitor requirements, execute data changes and update core systems as needed.
Assists with development, implementation, and documentation of quality assurance (QA).
Establish processes to ensure that reported data is accurate and reliable.
Documents data collection processes to transition to Business Intelligence team for automation.
Ensures understanding of customer needs by proactively clarifying scope and requirements and keeping customers apprised of project status through effective communication.
Achieves high-quality deliverables by assuring accuracy and thoroughness in executing projects.
Manages multiple projects by effectively prioritizing work and communicating workload issues to management.
Assist with training lower level Data Analysts.
Required Qualifications:
Advanced knowledge of financial, pharmacy, claims, provider, and member data
4+ years of related analytical experience in a healthcare like environment
Ability to document processes and analyses for reference/re-use
Experience with Business Objects, SQL
Proficient in MS Office, including Excel and Access.
Preferred Qualifications:
Comprehensive knowledge of HEDIS and STARS reporting requirements
Experience in a government program environment
Extensive clinical code knowledge related to claims, utilization, and pharmacy
