JOB PURPOSE
The Accountant position will analyze financial information and prepare financial reports to maintain all financial accounting and transaction processing within Omnisource United, Inc.. Some job duties and responsibilities include, but not limited to:
Preparation of budget
Preparation of balance sheet schedules and reconciliations
Month-end & year-end close activities including preparation and input of journal entries
Prepare, review and analyze monthly financial statements
Assist with ERP system implementation & enhancement
Assist in establishing and implementing accounting control procedures as necessary to meet company goals.
Assist in various ad hoc projects
Create year-end audit schedules.
Assist with year-end financial audits
Handle filing of corporate, sales tax, franchise tax
Skills and Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting or Finance
Required Certifications: Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Detail-oriented with strong organization skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work independently with little supervision
Minimum 2 years in similar role
