This document outlines the position description for Solar Energy Sales Professionals working within BlueSel Home Solar?s outside sales organization. This position is commission-based and may include a base salary after proven success. Employees holding this position must possess demonstrated sales and networking abilities and a strong ability to generate and close sales leads. Our Sales Reps currently cover the Greater Boston metropolitan area, including the north shore and suburbs west of Boston, based at our Woburn, MA office. We also cover the southeastern/South Coast of Massachusetts, and Cape Cod, based at our Sandwich, MA office.
Responsibilities
Responsible for all and in-home sales of solar energy products
Establish and maintain sales pipeline, including accurate sales forecast, status reports, sales activity, closings, and follow-up action items in Blue Selenium?s customer relationship management system ().
Self-generate, nurture, and close leads within the territory to increase account growth
Actively participate in all assigned marketing events, trade shows, and sales campaigns te engage prospects.
Develop sales strategies and targets to achieve revenue and profitability goals, sales quota, and closing ratio.
Identify new areas of opportunity to increase account growth through daily cold calling, strategic marketing, and lead generation activities
Promptly follow up on new leads and referrals resulting from above
Prepare presentations, proposals for residential and commercial solar energy systems
Identify and resolve client concerns
Lead, manage and create proposal documents and request for information; coordinate with cross functional internal team of project managers and technical leads to provide input required
Negotiate contracts and financial agreements with customers within parameters established by BlueSel Home Solar Inc.
Understand and analyze economic models for PV system designs and use this information to develop the best solution for the customer
Ability to present solar project proposals and financials to a sophisticated customer base and clearly communicate value proposition
Report to and meet regularly with sales management
Attend and participate in company product training, sales, and company meetings

Skills and Qualifications
Entrepreneurial attitude and ability to work independently required
2 years of sales achievement, preferably in solar PV or a related field, in a customer-facing role
Energetic, self-driven, highly motivated to succeed in a geographically dispersed sales organization
Solid understanding of sales and marketing and business development strategies necessary to build residential relationships and consummate deals.
Possess strong interpersonal, analytical, solutions-building, time management, and organizational skills.
Financial skills related to explaining various solar system financing alternatives and terms to clients.
Strong organizational skills and adaptability in a fast-paced environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Well-versed in Microsoft Office applications, especially Power Point and Excel
Reliable vehicle and insurance, Clean DMV record, Professional appearance
Technical expertise/aptitude strongly preferred
Experience with or other CRM systems a plus
