Overview for Transportation and Facilities Technician:
Hunter Health Clinic, Inc., a full service medical clinic devoted to providing comprehensive, quality healthcare to all cultures in all walks of life, with competence, dignity and respect, is searching for a Transportation and Facilities Technician . The Transportation and Facilities Technician is responsible for fulfilling the transportation requirements of Hunter Health Clinic (HHC), which includes but is not limited to the transporting of patients to and from their places of residence and Hunter Health Clinic facilities. Drivers will be responsible for keeping the vehicle and the equipment maintained, ensuring that the vehicle has all necessary supplies, notifying office of any changes in shift schedule or patient care and maintaining HHC professional code of conduct. The Transportation and Facilities Technician is also responsible for performing a variety of work in the general maintenance and repair of buildings, facilities, and equipment.
Responsibilities for Transportation and Facilities Technician:
Transport patients in a safe and professional manner.
Transport equipment and/or employees to outreach events.
Make deliveries between HHC clinics and other entities as required.
Communicate with office in order to receive relevant data and instructions.
Maintain professional behavior and attitudes in regards to customers, visitors, and coworkers.
Complete vehicle maintenance inspection prior to daily vehicle usage for safe and comfortable patient transport.
Assist with transferring and balancing patients.
Perform all related duties as assigned by HHC.
Follow and implement HCC policies and procedures
Assume responsibility for compliance with federal, state and local regulations within the clinic.
Repair and treat structures such as floors, showers, sinks, walls, and carpets.
Perform minor troubleshooting, repairs, and adjustments of locks on doors, cabinets, desks, and closets.
Change filters on heating, ventilation and air conditioning units.
Service appliances, kitchen and emergency equipment.
Report mechanical malfunctions to the appropriate party for action.
Move and assist in moving furniture and equipment.
Set up and break down cubical partitions and office furniture.
Exercise discretion in identifying projects requiring the services of a higher skilled craft person.
Annotate and update work logs for specific site requirements.
Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work site.
Other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications for Transportation and Facilities Technician:
Minimum High School Graduate or GED.
Current and valid Kansas driver?s license required.
Capable of understanding directions and the ability to read and use maps accurately.
?Clear? or ?acceptable? motor vehicle record risk rating.
