Account Manager - Inside Sales Job Opening in Louisa, Virginia - Summary of Role Responsibilities
Position ensures the company accomplishes its mission to listen, act, and deliver by providing excellent service to both internal and external customers through effective communication, cross-department collaboration, and by staying abreast of daily challenges and opportunities to improve. The role?s primary responsibility is to manage their list of accounts by building and maintaining customer relationships (via telephone and email) and growing sales by working closely and regularly with Account Executives, warehouse operations, accounting, purchasing, and transportation departments. This position is located in the Ferncliff area of Louisa County.
Duties & Responsibilities
Develop and maintain relationships via telephone and email with assigned customers by discussing their needs, our products and finding opportunities to introduce different products to increase customer service and sales, and provide them with accurate, timely information
Communicate regularly with Account Executives, Sales Manager, Distribution Manager, and Inventory Manager regarding customer issues and concerns
Respond to customer complaints and concerns in a professional and resourceful manner that protects the company?s long-term interests
Participate in weekly collaboration team meetings with the Sales Manager
Respond to requests for price lists, generate reports, and provide other support for documentation in a timely manner
Use computer software programs to input and track customers? orders, write emails and other documentation, and other similar tasks
Maintain the opportunity log
Follow company policies and procedures and represent Cavalier Produce in a professional, courteous manner at all times
Work efficiently, manage time effectively and demonstrate stewardship of company resources
Work weekend shifts on a rotating basis to handle customers? needs
Handle all other tasks and duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
Two ? Three (2-3) years of produce or food service experience preferred
Two ? Three (2-3) years of customer service and / or retail experience with proven record of achieving exceptional customer service
Excellent written and verbal communications skills, including but not limited to, excellent grammar and spelling, usage of standard English, and a clear telephone speaking voice
Outstanding telephone presence
Excellent organization skills, attention to detail, and follow through coupled with the desire to exceed customers? expectations through use of superior customer service skills
Manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize appropriately based on business needs
Demonstrated ability to work both in teams and alone
Demonstrated self-motivation plus strong problem-solving skills
Basic computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office, including MS Word, MS Excel, Gmail, etc.
Work weekend shifts on a rotating basis
Sit regularly for up to four (4) hours at a time while working
Lift up to 25 pounds occasionally and
Bend, stretch, reach overhead, twist, and move, as needed, to maneuver items weighing up to 25 pounds while engaged in customer service activities.
