We are seeking a cloud engineer: The ideal candidate is an excellent software developer with a knack for building scalable solutions. Skills and experience should span web application development and deployment.
This position is for immediate hire within the Greater Boston area, remote candidates are accepted.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Under the direction of the CTO, assist the development and consulting teams on core and client development projects.
Adhere to development best practices, including coding standards, documentation, source control, and release management guidelines.
Develop highly scalable cloud database for environment testing.
Builds prototypes and systems suitable for testing and company simulations.
Build and manage multiple Azure [or AWS] services.
Provide feedback and recommendations concerning platform optimization, acceptable development methods, deployment / build methods, product and tool improvements.
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor?s (or equivalent industrial experiences), MS degree in Computer Science or related quantitative field or Ph.D in Computer Science or related quantitative or technical field (Physics, Math, Engineering).
Strong cloud/DevOps fluency, Azure primary, secondary AWS.
Strong knowledge of SQL/noSQL
Proven ability to translate insights into business recommendations.
Experience with scripting languages such as Python and shell scripts.
Must be authorized to work in the US
