Description:
As a Report Analyst, you will be responsible for , programming, maintaining and publishing reports. You will be challenged to provide operational analysis utilized for decision making. You will have the opportunity to make recommendations based on the analysis, and provide explanations for reporting results as needed. Work may be done for internal operational purposes as well as for be successful you must be self-directed and creative as you will deal with some very interesting and complex issues. As a key resource to others you must maintain a high degree of accuracy along with attention to detail, excellent oral and written communication skills, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to prioritize and organize own work to always meet deadlines.
Primary Responsibilities:
Create, support, and provide the monthly reports for our customers, scheduled and develop ad-hoc reports by providing claims analysis/impact of benefit design, plan / network performance for internal operational purposes as well as for customers
Identify, create, and implement process and report improvements and efficiencies. Create and/or maintain business documentation / process flow, including work instructions, job aids, reference materials
Define and/or ensure that report parameters are established consistent with data governance requirements (e.g., share minimally necessary data)
Create and support of custom databases for trend monitoring and setting
Test and verify the accuracy of incoming or received data and/or coding prior to generating automated reports
Develop tests and/or software modules needed to assess the accuracy of data and/or coding used for report generation
Collaborate and communicate with internal and external reporting customers Required Qualifications:
Bachelor?s degree or 3+ years of equivalent work experience
2+years of experience performing data analysis, report development, querying high volume data
2+ years of experience communicating effectively with clients to understand client needs and define report deliverables
2+ years of experience building and executing data pulls using SQL and / or other BI reporting tools; demonstrated experience manipulating / combining data from multiple sources to provide actionable information
1+ years of experience with documenting processes and practices, often in accepted project methodology artifacts, while effectively prioritizing multiple tasks, priorities, projects, and deadlines
Intermediate level of proficiency with PC - based software programs and automated database management systems required (Excel, Access, PowerPoint) * Intermediate level of experience with data reporting / querying knowledge and of relational databases, database structures, design, systems design, data management, data warehouse
Strong SQL knowledge and experience with relational database
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with reporting and technical tools such as: Hyperion, OBIEE, Crystal, SSRS/SSIS
Healthcare or insurance industry experience or claims experience
Medicaid, CHIP, long term care and / or government health plan experience
Knowledge of HIPPA rules and Encounters Reporting
Experience with additional technical tools such as Tableau, SAS, R, SharePoint
Experience with running scheduled and ad hoc client facing program reporting
Experience with writing reporting requirements
Demonstrated ability to communicate ideas clearly and concisely to all levels of an organization
Excellent attention to detail, time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
Intermediate or higher level of proficiency with medical diagnostic and treatment terminology
