Software Data Scientist Job Opening in Huntsville, Alabama - PLUS Location Systems (PLUS) is a provider of leading-edge Real-Time Location System technology and solutions. We monitor and analyze the location and activity of personnel and assets delivering real-time insight into productivity, security, and safety. PLUS ACTIVE RTLS solutions utilize multiple technologies to provide real-time visibility into the location, activity, condition and interaction of people and assets. We deploy solutions in warehousing and distribution, manufacturing and processing, mining and energy, defense, security and government and sports environments.
PLUS has an immediate need for a highly-motivated individual to work as a software data scientist helping us bring new state of the art products to market. Qualifications for the position include:
BS or MS degree in mathematics, statistics, physics, computer science or equivalent discipline
At least 5 years of relevant work experience
Strong programming skills, preferably in C++
Excellent algorithmic problem-solving skills
Experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches
Applied statistics & mathematics skills

Ability to work within a high speed agile software development environment
Responsibilities:
Statistical analysis and modeling
Implementation of algorithms in a GPU

Ability to understand RF characteristics and principles of physics
Assist senior management in making key business decisions
