WEB/DATABASE DEVELOPER Job Opening in SAN FRANCISCO, California - Seeking mid-level web developer. This position could start as permanent or contract, and could later become permanent. The Web/Database Developer is responsible for building, maintaining, debugging and enhancing web sites, landing pages/forms and utilities we create for our clients. Most of our applications are data-centric, collecting and managing our clients' consumer & business contact data. These applications are all Microsoft based and are primarily built using both C#.NET, ASPX and ASMX, HTML and Object-Oriented JavaScript. Most applications make extensive use of SQL Server back-end databases. RESPONSIBILITIES: - Build applications with a focus on application code and database connectivity (JavaScript, C#, etc.) over CSS and web design - Develop, maintain and debug C# Web Services. Also PHP web services. - Develop and debug underlying SQL and transact-SQL stored procedures - Basic UML / white boarding competency - Create and maintain accurate and up-to-date functional and technical documentation
Requirement:
- 2 - 4 years development experience - C#.NET - SQL - HTML - JavaScript / JQuery Additional Experience a Plus - LAMP stack, in particular PHP - Open-source CMS experience (Drupal and Joomla, in particular) - Understanding of / hands-on Object-Oriented development, patterns and frameworks - Web Services development (both clients and servers) - XML/JSON - Recommendations for development and testing tools, deployment and hosting ENVIRONMENT: - Frequently fast-paced environment with short delivery times - Must be able to accommodate changes in requirements and to manage conflicting priorities - Excellent verbal and written communication skills required - ability to interact with both project management personnel and clients - Open to feedback and technical design direction from Senior developers - Self-starter - ability to "own" & manage tasks independently and with minimal supervision Benefits: include health, dental, vision, 401k, and stock purchase plan.
