Medication Aide/CNA Job Opening in Aurora, Nebraska - Memorial Community Health, Inc. in Aurora, NE is seeking a full time Certified Medication Aide/Certified Nurse?s Aide for Memorial Community Care. Job Duties:
Conducts and coordinates non-professional care to residents including but not limited to basic activities of daily living in coordination with the resident assessment and care plan in accordance with the philosophy, goals and objectives of Memorial Community Health.
Ability to work cooperatively and communicate effectively to maintain good working relationships with staff and healthcare providers
Responds to call lights and resident needs in a timely fashion.
Prepares, provides and documents prescription medications and treatments when assigned to do so by the supervisor, including prn medications.
Recognizes changes in resident condition and notifies charge nurse in timely manner.
Serves as resident advocate.
Demonstrates expertise in provision of Activities of Daily Living (ADL?s) for residents and delivers such care in a professional and caring manner which includes; positioning, transferring, toileting, nutrition, ambulation, bathing, grooming, dressing/undressing, hygiene procedures and other duties such as linen changes etc.
Participates as an effective member of the care team.
Assists in evaluating resident?s present equipment and offer suggestions or recommendations for changes to enhance the resident?s overall functional abilities.
Performs emergency treatment as required in accordance within a Certified Medication Aide scope of practice.
Performs and maintains documentation.
Promotes and ensures resident and staff safety in all aspects of responsibilities.
Education and Licenses:
Current Medication Aide certification with the State of Nebraska
Current CNA certification with the State of Nebraska
High School Diploma or equivalent.
