Description
The Public Works Director is responsible for the full scope of responsibility regarding facilities engineering, maintenance, operations and quality management programs supporting the Navy on PMRF.
Protects real estate, buildings, and equipment.
Provides safe work environments for employees, visitors, and customers.
Responsible for the management of PMRF facilities.
Works within Corporate, DoD, DoN, PMRF, and Departmental policies.
Exercises considerable independent judgment to identify and select the contractually proper course of action for the PW Department.
Provides Personnel Management, Oversight, and associated Performance Reviews.
Provides a direct interface with both the Government Customer and Senior Management.
Provides Cost Accounting, Cost Forecasting, and overall Budgeting responsibilities for the PW Department.
Develops, revises, updates, and approves Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Department Internal Procedures (DIPs), and Maintenance Procedures (MP).
Prepares and submits briefings, analysis, and reports to include Contract Data Requirements (CDRL's) on time.
Participates in contract proposals, negotiations, and modifications as required.
Responsible for the complete implementation of the 5S+S Program within the PW Department.
Manages multiple cross-functional employee groups in a constrained resource environment.
Performs other duties as required.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor?s Degree in Business Administration, trades, construction and/or facilities management
10 years of experience as a manager in a multi-disciplined environment
Must be a registered professional engineer licensed by a U.S. state or territory in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Industrial or Structural Engineering
PMP Certification is preferred
Six Sigma Certification is preferred
