Product Analyst Job Opening in chicago, Illinois - Product Analyst JOB DESCRIPTION Job Title: Product Analyst Department: Product Development Reports To: Vice President of Product Development Overall Responsibility: The Product Analyst position is responsible for market research, compliance research, form development and maintaining and executing company regulatory filings across all states. The position will research historical market development, evaluate existing and prospective competition, and analyze market potential. The employee will also become familiar with all company processes and forms, underwriting rules and language, and will monitor product performance and prepare rate, rule and form filings as required by regulatory agencies. In addition, the position requires a high degree of analytical ability, judgment, numerical comfort and decisiveness. The individual must exhibit a natural inquisitiveness, independence, an ability to take responsibility, an ability to take risks prudently, show self-initiative and possess excellent communication skills. Key Areas of Responsibility: Ability to manage multiple product changes simultaneously. Perform rate, rule and form reviews and filings. Use comparative raters to evaluate the competition. Maintain company Rate, Rule and Form filing library. Use MS excel to prepare rate / risk models to facilitate the product development process. Research new state regulatory environment and demographics for expansion opportunity. Qualifications: College graduate. 2 - 5 years private passenger auto experience is preferred. Experience maintaining company forms and executing form filings using SERFF is preferred. Ability to analyze competitors in the marketplace and suggest resulting strategies. Outstanding Microsoft Excel skills, including data extraction, manipulation and analysis. WebFocus or IPF experience a plus. Ability to multitask and meet all deadlines with quality product. Desire to learn and take initiative. Strong written and oral communication skills. Excellent organizational and time management skills. Email Us Here Phone:
