Junior Staff Accountant Job Opening in Charlotte, North carolina - Busy, local manufacturing company is seeking a Staff Accountant for a full time position to support continuous company growth.
The position will be responsible for the following:
Assist the Controller and Senior Accountant with day-to-day, monthly and year-end GL transactions and analysis
Assist with various accounting audits
Daily cash processing via live checks, lockbox, wires, ACH?s, and credit cards
Cash application to customer accounts
Monthly journal entries and accruals
Monthly AR Tie-Outs
Monthly general account reconciliations and analysis
American Express expense coding
Expense allocations and analysis
Ad hoc reporting, special projects and other duties as assigned
Position Specifications:
Four Year Degree in Accounting or Finance required
Two years? solid accounting experience required
Have strong skills in Excel and other Microsoft Applications
Have proficient knowledge and understanding of accounting processes and GAAP
Demonstrated ability to learn quickly and understand the manufacturing industry
Ability to organize and prioritize large volumes of work
Work well under pressure
Have excellent time-management and problem-solving skills
Have top notch attention to detail and maintain a high degree of accuracy
Must be analytical and meticulous with numbers
Must be a team player and customer service-oriented
Must be a great communicator and comfortable communicating between departments internally, externally and with management
