InterCon Construction, Inc. is seeking an outgoing and energetic individual for our Senior Accountant position located in our Waunakee, WI Senior Accountant is responsible for general ledger accounting.
ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Daily and monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts and related journal entries.
Prepares monthly financial statements.
Participates in implementation and maintenance of new software and reporting packages.
Assists with corporate income tax projections.
Prepares for and assists with annual audits.
Supports other accounting functions (payroll, payables, and billing) as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIRED SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience.
CPA preferred.
Understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Attention to detail and follow through.
Understanding of systems, processes, and controls.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Maintains professionalism and confidentiality with sensitive data.
