Staff Accountant or CPA Job Opening in Eau Claire, Wisconsin - Biesterveld & Spies, LLC, is seeking a full-time accountant with 3+ years of recent experience in public accounting.

Primary duties of the position:
Conducting or assisting on review and compilation engagements
Prepare business tax returns after analyzing and adjusting client?s accounting records
Prepare individual tax returns from client provided information and interact with clients to get additional information when needed
All areas of tax compliance and tax planning depending on the needs of the client
Look for opportunities for clients to improve profits and save taxes
Qualifications for the position:
3+ years prior public accounting experience
Passed or in the process of passing the CPA exam
Experience preparing business (1065, 1120, 1120-S) and individual income tax returns a plus
Experience with small business accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks and Sage) is beneficial
Strong attention to detail
Strong desire to help people and problem-solve
Ability to organize time and manage multiple deadlines
Ability to work overtime during the ?tax-season? (January to mid-April).
