Payroll Clerk Job Opening in Crystal Bay, Nevada - Payroll Clerk (Full-Time)
Position Summary
The basic function of the Payroll Clerk is to ensure all employees? paychecks are accurate; calculating earnings and deductions; computing pay; maintaining back up files; researching payroll records; inputting and verification of employee deductions; insurance reconciliation. The position involves general office responsibilities as well as department specific duties.
Though the Payroll Clerk is responsible for the timely distribution of pay checks. The Payroll Clerk may become involved in many projects throughout the casino. The Payroll Clerk is responsible for the calculation of employee earnings, screening internal timesheets, correcting other types of errors and addressing any adjustment with an employee paycheck. The Payroll Clerk is a key liaison between Accounting, HR and the internal customer which requires patience and thorough follow up. The Payroll Clerk receives all new hire paperwork, Personnel Action Forms & Benefit Requests for appropriate processing. The Payroll Clerk is responsible for hire and termination reports of gaming employees to the Nevada Gaming Control Board. The Payroll Clerk would also assist in the Soft Count as needed. Additional duties may include, but are not limited to, basic general ledger account reconciliations, fixed asset tracking, assist in budget preparations, and continued maintenance of the Payroll Clerk?s desk guide.
The Payroll Clerk is often privy to confidential conversations and information that must remain within the office. To maintain confidentiality, the Payroll Clerk may be required to handle personally certain files that contain this type of information.
