Category Data Analyst JO#1569 Job Opening in hartford, Connecticut - Category Data Analyst JO#1569 Job Purpose The role of this position is to provide data support to the Buying Channels Team, Program oversight, and related efforts, eg., Shop On Behalf Of (SOBO). The main objective is enable the team to successfully target the best opportunities for process improvement, enable data collaboration, and then measure success against key benchmarks. Key Tasks � Understand the key data models of the legacy ERP systems (PeopleSoft, Oracle) and Ariba � Work with the category teams to explore other sources of data to assist in the enablement effort � Help the team help achieve goal of 50+% US catalogs utilization by understanding the best targets for catalog conversions � Build and maintain a collaboration database (eg., Sharepoint or Access) of the 6000+ Open Purchase contracts, to allow category leads to effectively manage the decisions/status of legacy and new contracts � Develop prioritization reports for catalog enablement � Develop reports to identify volumes of transactions, spend analysis, and P2P process patterns � Develop reports to measure success against key metrics � Develop reports to measure compliance to new business processes and catalog enablement � Assist business readiness with data analysis that supports survey and quality measurement � Assist in troubleshooting related data issues � Support newly discovered procurement initiatives, as applicable 3+ years directly in relevant areas (Would expect at least 5 years business experience overall) Some are: Procurement Data Analyst ERP (PeopleSoft SCM; Oracle eBusiness) Ariba Develop Reports and Metrics on Procurement transaction and supplier data Develop Collaboration Data Sharing and Databases Portal Development and Design Software (in order of importance): ERP Purchase to Pay Systems (PeopleSoft, Oracle, SAP) Microsoft Excel (Data collection, analysis, and presentation, including data validation, arrays, pivot tables, charts, etc.) Business Objects/Datamart queries SQL queries Microsoft Sharepoint Microsoft Powerpoint Microsoft Access Web Design: Dreamweaver or equivalent Education: Bachelor's degree required hartford ct connecticut
