Accounts Payable Specialist - high volume Job Opening in Portland, Oregon - United Salad Co. is currently seeking an Accounts Payable Specialist. The qualified person will be a self-starter,extremely organized and efficient with their time. This position communicates directly with top management of the Company. Daily/monthly responsibilities may include:
Retrieve mail and invoices, sort and distribute as needed
Scan customer invoices into Produce Pro system
Vouch invoices for payment
Identify pricing discrepancies & resolve with buying department
Respond to inquiries from vendors via phone or email
Process vendor and intercompany payments
Cover reception desk on rotation with other staff members
Month end and Quarter end brokerage charges, rebate reports, AP Month End close procedures
Assist with Month-end entering of Inventory Count sheets
Cross train with other AP positions to provide coverage as needed
Other projects as assigned by owners and management
Position qualifications:
At least 3-5 years high volume Accounts Payable experience (150-200 invoices per day)
Knowledge of general ledger accounts & proper classification
Excellent problem solving skills, detail oriented
Accounting Education preferred, extensive experience can be a substitution
Intermediate to Advanced keyboarding skills, 10 key by touch
Basic skills with Microsoft Excel and Adobe Acrobat Pro X
Experience with ProducePro or MAS90 a plus.
