Full Charge Bookkeeper Job Opening in Elizabeth, New jersey - Part Time position available for Licensed Product Distribution Company with multiple locations.
Full Charge Bookkeeper is responsible for delivering timely and accurate accounts payables, payroll, general ledger entries, and other related accounting functions. This position is very hands on and requires a high attention to detail, pro-active participation with operations groups, and have flexibility to support ownership and the business.
Essential Job Functions:
Responsible for all accounting work necessary to ensure accounts payable is processed and delivered timely and accurately.
Ensure receipt of all vendor invoices and route for required approvals.
Enter vendor invoices and upload copies with supporting documents into QuickBooks.
Prepare and process bi-weekly payments (checks, wires, ACH and credit card).
Daily reconciliation of multiple bank accounts and updates to balances.
Ensure cash application is done daily and accurately.
Reconcile general ledger accounts including, Cash, AR/AP, credit card and customer deposits.
Prepare & process weekly payroll with Paychex.
Maintain professional, business licensing renewals, insurance reviews and certificate requests.
Primary contact for accounts and coordinate special billing requirements.
Qualifications:
Full charge capability for all accounting functions required.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and handle a variety of different tasks.
Tactful communication resolving issues and discrepancies, both internally and externally.
Solution driven, ?Can Do? attitude, and forward thinking.
Experience using QuickBooks (GL Entries, Reporting, Financials, Reconciliations, etc.).
Fast, efficient data entry skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook.
AA or BA/BS degree withl work experience.
Well organized, ability to prioritize tasks and provide high-level of accuracy.
Possess a high level of integrity ? must demonstrate good judgment.
Highly proficient with the use of technology for automating and streamlining processes
Ability to analyze problems, develop/recommend solutions, and resolve issues
