Java/Guidewire Developer Job Opening in Minneapolis, Minnesota - Responsibilities include managing Java/Guidewire development while providing expertise in the full software development lifecycle, from concept and design to testing.
ESSENTIAL :
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Design, implement and maintain java application phases
To take part in software and architectural development activities
Conduct software analysis, programming, testing and debugging
Identifying production and non-production application issues
Transforming requirements into stipulations
Develop, test, implement and maintain application software
Recommend changes to improve established java application processes
Develop technical designs for application development
Develop application code for java programs
REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS :
The following education, experience and skills requirements are necessary to perform the essential functions of this position:
Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, software engineering or related discipline.
5+ years of related work experience (preference with Guidewire experience).
Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities.
SQL query techniques and automating import/export tasks, complex data analysis and data quality assurance.
Ability to proactively identify, troubleshoot and resolve complex data integrity issues.
Demonstrated ability to gather and communicate requirements.
Proven working experience in Java development.
Ability to learn and use new technologies
Experience with agile/scrum methodology.
