Sales Associate Job Opening in Belgrade, Montana - ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Provide basic cashier functions as needed.
Answer telephone and give information.
Advise customer on tools, hardware, and materials needed, and procedure to follow to complete task customer wishes to perform.
Inform customer about quality of tools, hardware, and equipment, and demonstrate use.
Cuts screen, glass, wire, and other bulk items to specified size.
Prepare sales slip for cashier.
Assist customers with merchandise and load merchandise into vehicle if required
Makes suggestions on safety issues.
Place new merchandise on display. Unload and stock merchandise to shelf accurately.
Assemble equipment for sale. Perform maintenance on store equipment.
Use computer database to research availability of merchandise. Processe orders
Aid in implementing store promotions.
Monitor neatness and cleanliness throughout store.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand; walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The employee frequently is required to reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
