Sales Support/Purchasing Specialist Job Opening in Bow, New hampshire - Rumford Stone, Inc. is a specialty trade subcontractor and manufacturer of stone and quartz countertops with locations in Bow, Pembroke and Merrimack, NH.
Job Brief
We are looking for an enthusiastic administrative professional to support our showroom and purchasing departments. This dynamic position requires you to both assist our purchasing manager with the procurement of supplies and materials as well as support our showroom staff by assisting customers in our showrooms. The position will require that you work in both our Pembroke and Merrimack locations throughout the week.
Excellent office administrative skills and attention to detail are key qualifications. Experience in accounting, retail or related purchasing positions are important qualities as well.
Purchasing Responsibilities:
Allocating material from inventory for fabrication.
Ordering supplies and materials from vendors.
Communicating status of material orders with our customer service department and other staff members.
General office work and reporting as needed.
Showroom Responsibilities:
Greeting customers and helping them make product selections.
Generating estimates for customers.
Assisting with taking showroom phone calls, as needed.
General office work and reporting as needed.
Requirements:
A College or University degree is a plus but not required.
A positive attitude and passionate work ethic
Applicant must have a friendly, cheerful, composed demeanor and always be willing to help.
Min 1-2 years in related position.
Applicant must be very comfortable working with computers, as most of our systems are computer based/paperless.
Proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook or similar applications.
Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
Clean criminal background and valid driver's license with reliable transportation is required.
Ability to work independently.
There is some physical work required that will include handling stone sample, sinks, faucets, packages, etc. Applicant must be able to independently lift 30 lbs from floor to chest height occasionally throughout the day, as needed.
Schedule:
Position will require working Saturday mornings from 9:00am to 1:00pm in one of the showrooms. However, we are very flexible on the schedule for the balance of the week and are happy to discuss this during the interview process.
Pay Rate:
Paid hourly; $30K; negotiable and commensurate with experience.
