Accountant Job (5-7 years experience) Job Opening in Berkeley Heights, New jersey - Our client a major Pharmaceutical firm is in need of a Sr. Accountant for the following project:
Description
Understand the areas, including any relevent legal agreements to ensure accurate financial system presentations,
Obtain relevant financial, analyzing the impacts to the financial statements and preparing journal entries in SAP/winshuttle including balance sheet analysis and reconciliation, working with relevant business partners.
Perform post close reconciliations ensuring GL accuracy
Provide quarterly reporting to Tokyo related to footnote disclosure.
Establish best practices surrounding controls
Performs all related SOX controls.
SAP proficiency is required.
Senior Accountant position requiring 5-7+ years experience including specific general accounting book closing experience.
Must be able to work independently and hit the ground running with little guidance
Moderate excel proficiency (e.g. v-lookups, pivot tables, etc.).
Education
BS in Accounting or Finance required.
MBA and/or CPA preferred.
