Job Summary:
The Processing Plant Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the processing plant operations including, but not limited to, the daily operations regarding orders, inventories, staffing, machines efficiency, scheduling, and time management. This position works reports to the Sr. Processing Manager and works closely with the Senior Manager of Customer Quality and Planning, Food Safety Manager, Production Manager, Maintenance Manager, Safety Manager, and Human Resources and Accounting. The Plant Manager is responsible for ensuring that all employees adhere to all State and Federal regulations, including but not limited to; FDA, USDA, SQF and OSHA.
Essential Job Function
Supply the servant leadership required to motivate your employees to work as a team in meeting corporate and plant goals and objectives.
Provide leadership, direction and development to their teams.
Run all customer orders with the highest quality and efficiency at the lowest possible cost
Manage, record, and report egg and packaging inventories
Create a good working environment in the plant that enhances employee performance and retention
Lead the plant in initiating and executing plans and processes which minimize production costs through effective and efficient utilization of manpower, equipment, facilities, materials, and capital.
Be responsible for the financial stewardship of the plant by developing a budget and implementing effective systems of control over the operating expenditures of the plant.
Create, implement, train, and improve on standard operating procedures
Drive the plant to continuously improve its processes and procedures.
Establish group and individual accountabilities throughout plant for problem-solving and cost reduction.
Promote a culture of safety, assuring that all staff works their job duties with safety being top priority.
Maintain compliance with all FDA, ODA, EPA, USDA regulations, Good Manufacturing Practices and SQF Program as well as the SE Prevention, Animal Welfare, and Bio-Security Programs.
Works closely with all other departments and create an environment of one team
All other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
4+ years? leadership experience in the Food Processing, Beverage, or manufacturing industries.
Bachelor?s Degree preferred (i.e. Food Science, Business, Industrial Management, Engineering, Operations, etc.) or commensurate experience.
Must have experience working with the USDA or other regulatory bodies
Good Communication (Written / Verbal) skills, organized, goal oriented, accountable.
High documentation and written procedure skills
Detail oriented and ability to multi-task in high stress environment
Good Leadership skills and Management skills
Must be competent in the Microsoft Office suite of products and computer savvy
Bilingual in English & Spanish Preferred.
Agile, able to lift 50lbs. Must be able to perform all job duties of processing supervisors. Also must be able to work in various climate conditions, including extreme cold.
Must be able to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Ability to work in various climate conditions including extreme heat and cold environments, walking, standing and sitting for long periods of time

Salary: $45,000.00 to $65,000.00 /year
