Accounting Manager Job Opening in Tulsa, Oklahoma - What is the position?
The Accounting Manager is the primary point of contact for A/P, A/R, and payroll for a family-owned manufacturing company. This role maintains effective working relationships with general accounting, contracts governance, volume control, commercial, and other business partners, both internal and external, that facilitate accurate/timely resolution of issues and sharing of information.
What will you do?
As the Accounting Manager you will:
Provide direction and manage the operation of the revenue function including preparation of all invoices, application of related cash activity, monthly schedules and related analysis. This includes analyzing actual revenues and volumes to forecasted results to identify potential issues to ensure actual invoices and recorded revenue are accurate and timely. In addition, this position monitors accounts receivable to ensure timely collection of outstanding invoices, coordinating closely with commercial and senior management as needed to resolve related issues.
Review contracts and proposed agreements, including contract revisions, to ensure revenue is recorded accurately and timely.
Prepare information for financial statements.
Ensure accounting processes and data are correct
Work with external and internal auditors to facilitate efficient and timely resolution of issues.
Provide leadership, motivation, development and day-to-day guidance to departmental staff.
Keep the office organized and on task
Lead and monitor departmental goals which complement business unit and company objectives.
Implement process improvements, cross training of staff and additional controls where needed for the gathering and recording of financial transactions.
What are the requirements?
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting/Finance preferred
5+ years of accounting experience
Accounts Payable and Payroll experience
Quickbooks experience required
Pc/MRP experience preferred
Experience leading an AP team
Demonstrated strong and effective interpersonal skills in order to manage positive relationships across the organization.
Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
Self-starter with proven ability to establish and meet objectives while managing in a fast-paced, team oriented environment.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
