We use a new technology stack that includes on the server, React on the front-end, and some key strategic elements in C++ and Python. Must Haves:
- Must have at least 3-5 years of professional software development experience
- Must have a GitHub account, open-source contributors are preferred
- Experience with one of these: or Python
- Experience with a SQL database system: SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, etc. (We mostly use MySQL so that's preferred)
- Experience with back-end web development (Linux based, non-PHP preferred)
Nice to Haves:
- Open source contributions related to data processing or
- Experience with Hadoop, Hive, Apache Spark, SparkML, or SparkSQL
- Experience with Pandas, Jupyter Notebook, or Tableau
- Experience with C/C++ or Go
Bonuses:
- Experience with high performance data processing (real-time analytics)
- Experience with machine learning technologies
- Personal enthusiasm for the stock market and the financial technology industry
- Previous startup experience (either own experience or early employee)
- Strong Linux experience and background
