Senior Accountant Job Opening in Shawnee, Oklahoma - The Sr. Accountant at Unit Liner Company acts as the right-hand person to the Controller. We are looking for someone who can perform various accounting tasks for a small (< 100 employees), diverse company. To qualify, candidates will need to have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, be CPA eligible, and have 3+ years of experience with a third party public accounting firm (preferably in external auditing). They will also need a solid understanding of GAAP accounting and how the flow of an entire financial statement works.
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly bank and credit card reconciliations
Reconcile subsidiary accounts to the general ledger and prepare and maintain schedules of accounts that tie to the general ledger (i.e. AR, AP, inventory, prepaids, fixed assets accrued expenses, etc.)
Perform account analysis, noting variances and explanations
Assist Controller with month-end, year-end and annual audit procedures
Process bi-weekly payroll and possess familiarity with payroll law
Possess familiarity with sales tax rules
