Filtration Group Process Inc. has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Accounting Manager/Assistant Controller at our Nowata, Oklahoma facility. This position reports directly to the Division Vice President of Finance, with secondary responsibility to the General Manager.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsible for the monthly close process
Oversight and primary responsibility for journal entry and general ledger maintenance
Review and analyze general ledger activity to ensure timely and accurate recording of transactions, including coordination with the shared services team, payroll and other functional areas
Reconcile all balance sheet accounts on a monthly basis
Primary owner of inventory cost accounting and the related bills of materials in order to ensure costing accurately reflects operations
Involved in the cycle count and physical inventory processes with operations
Assist in the completion of certain governmental reporting (income tax, property tax, sales/use tax) as necessary
Assist in the coordination and response to audit requests in a timely manner
Ensure adherence to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and the Company?s documented accounting policies
Partners with plant, divisional and corporate management to help understand and interpret financial performance
Focus on identifying efficiencies and continuous process improvement
Responsible for adhering to and enforcing a sound internal control environment
Respond to divisional and corporate requests for information in a timely manner
Assist in the completion of special projects.
Maintain Fixed asset ledgers
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor?s Degree in Accounting required; CPA preferred
Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Accounting Manager, Assistant Controller, and/or Cost Manager in a manufacturing environment required
Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office products with an advanced level of experience in Excel required
Must have strong leadership skills with the ability to effectively influence others
Possess strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Ability to multi-task and manage time effectively
Well-organized, results- and deadline-oriented, and able to work well under pressure
Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels within the organization
Must be a strong team player with the ability to work within high performance teams
Customer-oriented and able to adapt to changing demands and priorities
