Patient Accounts / Customer Service Job Opening in Cincinnati, Ohio - MediSync is a Cincinnati-based clinical management company that supports physician healthcare businesses. We are currently seeking an experienced Patient Accounts/Customer Service Representative to join our team.
The Patient Accounts/Customer Service Representative will be responsible for managing incoming patient calls in call center environment, claim research, processing credit card transactions, incoming mail, insufficient funds, and returned mail. Significant communication with patients regarding financial and or clinical support of their account while working with client staff and client practice managers as necessary. Assigned to calls across clients and specialties as deemed necessary by immediate supervisor and assist with the resolution of issues with internal resources of Patient Accounts team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to effectively communicate and resolve patient inquiries in structured customer call center environment
Ability to deal courteously and diplomatically with patients, clients and MediSync employees
Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of company
General knowledge of insurance billing and Patient Accounts processing
Knowledge of basic computer software, hardware and functions and ability to utilize basic functionality of different programs
Contributes to and fosters positive team working environment, supporting all company and departmental policies and initiatives
Ability to comply with all stated operational work instructions and or process guidelines
Knowledge of HIPAA compliance/Red Flag processes
Skills and Ability Requirements:
Good business/technical verbal and written communication skills. Able to speak clearly and persuasively in positive or negative situations. Listen and seek clarification when necessary. Write clearly and informatively.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment
Well organized and able to effectively prioritize work
Good working knowledge of Windows applications
Ability to collect and thoroughly research data
Customer Service skills - able to respond promptly to customer needs

Education and Experience:
1 year health care or health insurance experience required
1 year call center experience required
1 year of physician medical billing experience preferred
High School graduate or equivalent
