Regional Sales Director - Southeast US Region

Liberty Lake, Washington

Regional Sales Director - Southeast US Region Job Opening in Liberty Lake, Washington - JOB SUMMARY
A Regional Sales Director for Amphenol Telect will play an imperative role on our outside sales team, working collaboratively with a variety of groups including marketing and product management. This position is responsible for generating sales of Amphenol Telect products in the Southeastern region of the United States, focusing on large Telecommunications, Colocation facilities, Hyperscale Data Centers, Cable, Enterprise and other customers. Successful candidates will have 5 years of outside sales experience and be well-versed in telecommunications and our target market. However, talent trumps skill set, as we are comfortable teaching the right person. Who is the right person?
What you are: You are located in the southeastern region of the United States. You sell solutions and are both comfortable and experienced in the telecom industry. The technically savvy Regional Sales Director will use consultative sales techniques and skills to increase sales with existing customers and support business development initiatives to establish new customer accounts. You appreciate what we do and who we serve. You pay attention to trends and developments in telecommunications. You forge fast, but sincere, relationships and understand the value in doing so.
What you get: Don't be intimidated by the title. This position requires a go-getter player-coach type that is still willing to travel and cold call. In return, you will get a competitive base salary and total compensation package, as well as poised opportunity for strong commissions and upward mobility with a growing OEM company based in Liberty Lake, Washington. Compared to other outside sales postings, we think we offer that work-life balance we all strive for. You'll operate out of a home office most of the time, but you'll only be required to travel 40-50% of the time. While the company and/or business need dictates a lot of that travel, you'll have a say as well - meaning, you can book your travel and work your schedule to meet your needs and outside obligations more often than not. When we say we are family oriented, we mean it. We recognize that people, even our sales people, need balance and a life outside of work and we will work to honor that. You'll have a diligent team of inside sales individuals working to support you as well as constant communication with channel operations, product management, marketing, human resources and your Vice President of Strategic Accounts, whom you'll report to. Our management structure is less vertical and hierarchal than you may be used to - and we think that's a good thing! All in all, while you are located offsite, you'll be a member of our Amphenol Telect family. We value you and will work to ensure you feel confident in knowing that.
What you'll do: You'll champion our outside sales efforts in the regions identified by using marketing materials like product catalogs, sales presentations and brochures, partnering with product managers and your soft skills. You'll be our brand standard champion and will represent the company at all times. Ideal candidates will want to understand our company, the history behind our brand, our sales team, our competition, and most importantly, our customers. You'll be a part of a small but mighty sales team that works closely with Marketing, IT, Product Management and Inside Sales to help Amphenol Telect continuously develop and grow.
