Job Description: MTG is currently seeking a senior level Network Sales Engineer with a focus on Cisco Meraki but not limited to. You will be responsible to be up to date with the latest networking solutions working with vendors like Cisco Meraki, Fortinet, Aruba and Barracuda. About 35% of your time will be functioning as a sales engineer working with customers and the sales team to evaluate and design customers networking infrastructure needs. You will meet with manufacture reps and attend manufacture functions. The remainder of the time you will be supporting and installing like systems. You will help provide IT engineered solutions and troubleshooting with hardware, software and network related technologies. This is a senior lead position where the candidate must be able to engage with C level customers as well as customers Network Administrators and walk into an unfamiliar situation and be able to dissect, reverse engineer, troubleshoot and bring resolution and order using best practices. You must possess a vast degree of skills in Servers and Networking topology including routers and firewalls. A key quality to success in this position is to have a can do attitude while taking ownership of a problem. Additional responsibilities will include:
Engineer IT Network environments for small to large businesses.
Support the MTG sales team in front of clients as well as in-house IT designs.
Diagnose and resolve Network and computer related issues for business customers.
Provide support in onboarding our managed services offerings such as AZURE, Hosted Exchange, VoIP, Network Monitoring and Backup Administrations.
Maintain network security policies, address server security issues and apply appropriate security patches and upgrades. Experience in Windows, Linux and OSx is recommended.
Provide status reports to Manager with duties achieved over specific timeframes.
Ability to jump in an unfamiliar situation and take the lead in diagnosing and bringing the right people together for resolution.
Qualifications:
BS/BA degree in Information Technology and or MIS (Management Information Systems)
8 or more years of employed support experience and administrative support of IT Systems
Proven work experience with Business Class Windows Environments.
Ability to rack mount networking gear, troubleshoot hardware, cabling etc?
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and professionally.
Maintain effective written/verbal communication skills and effective internal/external customer relations skills.
Willing to work off-site locally for field support and customer related projects as needed.
A working knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, SMTP, FTP, SSL, SMTP, HTTP, etc.
An in-depth working knowledge of Host records for DNS, cPanels, WHM etc..
Have a can do attitude with a take ownership approach.
Have a good understanding of NOC management, hardware specifications, Operating Systems, web server technologies, caching technologies, databases and capacity planning
A working knowledge of server and desktop hardware
Experience with hosted VoIP systems
Experience with data backup and recovery
Experience securing systems, servers, web sites and networks
Strong organizational and project management skills
Good vendor management and negotiation skills, to include RFPs, SLs, project deliverables
Experience working with Cloud-based services is desired
Must be willing to work across all levels in the organization
Highly skilled in design of infrastructure and troubleshooting multi-layer protocol network environments
Experience managing environments with multiple servers including VM?s and physical hardware
Technical Certifications Desired:
A+ Certification, CCNA, MSCP, and other industry standard certifications.
Advanced Windows Active Directory, Firewall, Router and other network technology experience.
Vendor Specific Installations, configurations and maintaining of systems on a business network.
PC Hardware knowledge, light cabling experience, network design and implementation.
Misc. This position will be out of our PA corporate location, with regular travel in the Greater Philadelphia area. MTG supplies a company car for business related out of office travel.
