DevOps Engineer Job Opening in Washington, District of columbia - Perform various development activities for DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous delivery, continuous testing, and continuous monitoring.
Work collaboratively with software engineering team to design continuous integration best practices, deploy applications and automate operations and processes.
Develop microservices, including APIs and integration services, hosted on a containerized platform.
Coach client teams on DevOps best practices to transform their delivery model into a more agile state.
Automate deployments, develop scripts, and prepare packages to maintain the operational platform in a secure, federal environment.
Perform updates due to changes in requirements or implementations and assist with setup and maintenance of environments for testing and IVV activities
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 2+ years relevant experience
US Citizen able to obtain or currently holding active DHS suitability clearance
2+ years of experience with DevOps and automation frameworks, including Ansible and Terraform
2+ years of Java and JavaScript experience
Experience with Agile methodology and software development
Proficiency with Java and Spring Framework
Experience with container orchestration platforms such as OpenShift and/or CloudFoundry
Experience with software delivery automation using Jenkins, SonarQube, Nexus, and similar tools
Experience with Relational Databases, including Oracle and PostgreSQL
Experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS)
Must have excellent oral and written communication skills
Must be a U.S. Citizen to obtain a DHS Suitability clearance.
