Senior Test Engineer Job Opening in Alexandria, Virginia - Job Title: Senior Tester
Duties
Develop and implement efficient and effective testing strategies, test conditions, and test scripts for projects in an Agile fast moving environment
Provide appropriate test coverage and requirements traceability through the creation, implementation and enhancement of test plans, test cases/user stories, test steps, and test automation
Define clear expectations for all testing tasks, including inputs and outputs
Identify gaps and deficiencies in business requirements, technical specifications, design, and testing documentation for completeness and testability
Required Experience
US Citizen
Bachelor?s degree and 8+ years? experience
Experience developing and executing test plans, test cases, scripts, and creating test data for Agile software development teams
Experience with various testing scenarios including functional, integration, regression, data integrity, stress, and assisting with user acceptance testing
Experience tracking defects and reporting key metrics for proactively identifying areas for improvement
Experience managing the change process such as build promotions to User Acceptance (UAT) and Production environments
Proven ability to decompose requirements into detailed test cases for functional and regression test execution
Understanding of software testing types and methods to support Agile software development
Proven ability to facilitate effective interaction and coordination between government project leads
Proven ability to identify resource constraints and other potential schedule issues and risks
Ability to gain a Public Trust clearance
Preferred Experience
Certified Scrum Master (CSM) certification (must be obtained within six months of start date)
Quality Assurance Institute (QAI) Certified Software Test Engineer (CSTE) Certification (must be obtained within six months of start date)
Experience implementing tools to support test automation and performance testing
Experience coordinating the setup of test environments for all planned test execution activities
Technical proficiency with SQL including the ability to create queries to validate data integrity and other data constraints
Experience with all aspects of configuration management planning including configuration identification, change control, configuration status accounting, configuration audits, configuration documentation
Experience implementing testing and configuration management methodologies to support continuous integration

Salary: $85,000.00 to $105,000.00 /year
