This position is located at Saint Francis South
RHIA certification is preferred. Will consider Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or RN licensure.
Job Summary: Develops and implements the hospital-wide Performance Improvement Program, Utilization Management Program, Medical Staff Program, Case Management Program and Regulatory Compliance functions consistent with Administrative, Medical Staff and Board approved plans and regulatory agency standards.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Health related field. Master's degree preferred.
Licensure, Registration and/or Certification: Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA).
Work Experience: 5 - 7 years related experience. Must have training in performance improvement techniques and methods.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Demonstrated strength in communication. Ability to analyze complex issues and solve them creatively. Strong leadership skills relative to motivating and developing successful multi-disciplinary teams. Excellent communication and educator skills. Proficient knowledge of computer applications (including Structured Query Language (SQL), Access, and Excel). Knowledge of reimbursement methods, ICD-9-CM and CPT coding, general hospital operations, and state and federal regulations. Ability to be assertive, demonstrate political intuitiveness, professional demeanor/appearance, and self motivation skills.
