IT Support Specialist Job Opening in Phoenix, Arizona - A dynamic financial services company is seeking a full-time IT Support Technician for a permanent position, headquartered in Phoenix, Arizona. With more than 200 employees in three remote markets, we consist of 22 store front locations and multiple admin offices and call centers, and also have a growing web presence.
This position provides technical support to all business end-users and systems; oversees all network infrastructures, including support for web, database, email, and VoIP servers. Typical duties include direct support to operational end-users and their networked systems, including workstations, printers, phones, firewalls, and switches. This positions also provides support to the Network Systems Admin and IT Teams, for maintenance of servers and network equipment.
Candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision, manage projects from inception to closing, and be highly organized and able to multi-task in a dynamic environment. Candidate must also be an accomplished problem solver and go-getter, with a strong desire to learn, grow, and position reports to the Vice President of Systems Development.
Essential Functions:
Manage, administer, and work the Company Help Desk powered by JIRA
Respond to requests via telephone, email, and via remote access
Provide 24/7 on-site and remote technical support for workstations, laptops, printers, scanners, software, and network devices
Perform routine tasks such as hardware, software, and network troubleshooting, workstation/server imaging, deployment, configuration, diagnostic, virus removal, rebuild, and decommissions
Analyze systems performance records in order to diagnose issues and proactively repair
Familiar with network appliance , TCP/IP, network
Coordinate with vendors and with company personnel in order to facilitate purchases
Manage and administer company communication or accounting systems, including Email, VoIP (Fonality Trixbox), electronic document management (Docuware), FTP (Synology/QNAP), and QuickBooks
Maintain, administer, and monitor Cisco ASA firewalls deployed throughout network
Identify, support, and escalate situations requiring urgent attention
Assist Network Systems Admin to maintain servers/networks and security devices
Provide direct support to in-house IT teams, relating to server, network, and application needs
Proactively support the network by communicating observations or concerns directly to Supervisor
Work with Supervisor and Team Members to research and document problem resolutions
Work independently to research and resolve complex technical issues utilizing available resources
Develop and maintain a professional level of proficiency with Information Technology and specific systems and technologies
Develop and maintain knowledge of Company and departmental roles and responsibilities.
Provide support for and take-on additional project tasks, as a means to grow the position
Desired Skills & Experience:
Undergraduate degree or 2 years equivalent experience with IT/Computer Support or Help Desk
Network support and windows server management background
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, and Outlook)
Working with Microsoft Windows desktop and server operating systems
Possess ability to function independently and have the ability to be proactive in delivering support
Able to prioritize duties and manage multiple tasks from start to finish with minimal supervision
Ability to respond effectively to urgent technology matters
Demonstrate flexibility and adaptation to changing priorities.
Creative thinker and problem solver
Coachable and a desire to learn, grow, and develop
Experiences with Database (SQL), Website monitoring (IIS), Firewalls (Cisco ASA) is a plus
Compensation:
CM Retail Management, Inc. offers a competitive benefits package and an outstanding working environment. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with skills and experience, with a base salary range of $30,000 - $50,000 and quarterly bonus opportunities.
