We are looking for someone to not only manage their Finance & Accounting function, but also to participate in management activities and be involved in the growth of the business, work closely with the C-suite, and is excited by the idea of joining a high-growth startup.
JOB DESCRIPTION
The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:
Oversee all company's finances including revenue, cash flow, expenses, reports and ongoing financial reporting to the executive team, including cost analysis.
Serve as a strategic financial business partner to the CEO and Executive Management team.
Manage all accounting operations.
Execute inventory management / forecasting / placing POs.
Develop and maintain timely and accurate financial statements - income statement, cashflow, and balance sheet when required by investors, in accordance with GAAP,
Administer payroll; ensure employees are paid in a timely manner,
Ensure accurate and timely completion of month-end/year-end procedures and liaise with external auditors.
Ensure that federal, state and local tax reporting compliance requirements and other filings are met.
Participate in as needed projects.
REQUIREMENTS
BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or other Quantitative areas of study. Masters? degree / MBA or CPA is preferred.
Minimum 3+ years of relevant work experience. E-commerce and subscription experience is strongly preferred.
Strong proficiency in QuickBooks online to maintain statements, cash management, accounts payable and accounts receivable, as well as processing payroll. We will NOT accept anyone who doesn?t know QuickBooks online.
Advanced excel skills ? You have spent hundreds (if not thousands) of hours organizing data, performing analysis and presenting findings in excel. You probably rarely use a mouse and excel best practices are second-nature.
Ability to prepare PowerPoint presentations that are grammatically correct and aesthetically pleasing.
Expertise in financial modeling, cash flow, ROI, NPV, and IRR. Understanding of e-commerce marketing concepts and metrics such as CPA, LTV, and revenue retention.
Experience preferred with data management and business intelligence tools such as Tableau, Amazon Redshift preferred.
Demonstrated leadership skills, willingness to ?do what it takes? to get the job done-done-done, and commitment to challenging the status-quo to make things better.
Exceptional problem solving, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
A quick learner, a self-starter, able to work independently, and you're willing (and able) to handle the pressures of an increasing level of responsibility.
Full familiarity with financial reporting and accounting principles such as capitalization.
