Staff Accountant Job Opening in La Crosse, Wisconsin - Tostrud & Temp, S.C. is actively seeking a full-time staff accountant to join our growing public accounting firm with opportunities for advancement and flexible scheduling.
Qualifications:
Bachelors Degree in Accounting (3.0 GPA minimum)
CPA (or CPA candidate)
Ability to clearly communicate with clients both verbally and in writing
Experience and/or desire to learn Quickbooks and Peachtree accounting software
Highly organized with strong attention to detail
Highly motivated
Ability to work independently and part of a team
2-5 years of experience
Responsibilities include:
Assist with audits of the financial statements of local governments, non-profits and housing authorities
Preparation of individual and business income tax returns
Reviewing and adjusting client?s accounting records as needed to produce an accurate balance sheet and income statement to use in preparing a client?s business tax returns
Communicating with clients to resolve periodic accounting questions, coordinate tax filings and assist with special projects
