Inside Sales Marketing Rep / Account Sales Job Opening in Marlborough, Massachusetts - Main Job Duties
Incumbent is responsible for handling inbound customers? product inquiries and sales lead calls, emails, faxes, web requests from prospective and current customers.
Provides accurate quotes on product, and converts all orders into SAP sales entry system correctly, within approved margins and quotas.
Enters new customer account information into SAP entry accurately and completely, including any special delivery notes or required documentation.
Negotiates within currently approved price levels and delivery terms, verifies availability of product, and tracks updated accurate stock levels.
Emphasizes positive attractive features of Powell?s electronic parts distribution business, including best delivery estimates, alternate solutions in process methods, and knowledgable product support staff.
Takes advantage of any opportunity to upsell products to create additional sales and profit.
Overcomes technical and business objections of prospective customers, and handles frustrated customers with tact, and promotes communication back to management on methods to improve customer service.
Expands Tier 2 and Tier 3 account base within the Sales branch.
Assists in expediting deliveries or researching delay causes.
Works with outside field sales representatives to keep account activities and related sales literature up to date.
Sets and achieves challenging goals, and aligns all efforts within these strategic goals.
Makes outbound lead follow up calls to potential and existing customers by telephone and e-mail to qualify leads and sell products and services.
Builds and maintains positive customers? relationships and works well with other Sales & Product Support team members.
Normal work schedule is Mon-Fri, 8am to 5pm
Job Qualifications
2 years of experience in the electronic distribution sales field
Bachelors' Degree preferred in related discipline
Must have at least 2 years of sales experience
Must possess above average communication skills, speaking, written and verbal English.
Ability to use Microsoft Office programs efficiently.
Able to focus on account growth development while maintaining current customer account base.
Must have strong administrative, organizational, and Internet research skills.
Good prioritization skills necessary as well as a conscientious work ethic, able to maintain composure under difficult customer encounters.
Followup skills also necessary for timely quoting, and problem solving.
Must be flexible and able to adapt to changing sales trends and the ability to push and expand on Powell's portfolio of products within the account.
Ability to expand Tier 2 and Tier 3 account base within the branch.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $30,000.00 to $45,000.00 /year
