Field / Office Technician I Job Opening in Louisville, Kentucky - Position Summary
The position of Field/Office Technician I is responsible for the completion of equipment-related tasks assigned by the Equipment Logistics Specialist, which may include installations, maintenance, replacement and removal of alcohol monitoring equipment and the provision of related components for court-ordered and volunteer clients. This position performs these tasks primarily in an office, but may be in public settings, such as courthouses, jails, other public locations, and may go to client homes, when necessary. This position also requires a working knowledge of all products offered by Bluegrass Monitoring (BGM) and the ability to install, maintain, and remove them as assigned. In addition, this position works to grow the business working under the direction of the Sales & Marketing Manager, receiving guidance from the same. This position is reviewed through observation, conferences, customer reports, and annual evaluations.
Essential Duties
As the Field/Office Technician I, this position will perform the general duties as outlined below:
Manage assigned case load efficiently
Enter client information into appropriate software program
Contact client or other responsible party to follow up on scheduling an appointment to perform assigned tasks
Maintain a clear and accurate calendar of jobs for BGM
Attach, assign, replace all monitoring equipment using assigned direct connect equipment and software, ensuring a secure fit and equipment functionality
Direct Connect equipment to upload stored data
Perform equipment maintenance, routine or otherwise to check its functionality
Remove the monitoring equipment and return to inventory or deliver to other location following instructions
Ensures assigned clients receive and complete appropriate documentation, including exit surveys
Coordinate the retrieval of equipment
Sterilize equipment before installing on another client; performing basic maintenance as needed to ensure optimal functionality
Accurately follow all equipment-related AMS policies and procedures
Communicate outstanding and unresolved assignment concerns to the Equipment & Logistics Specialist on a daily basis
Document all client/client related contact, including any form of written correspondence, in SCRAMnet, Insight, Veritracks or any other software platform utilized by BGM.
Creating initial invoices for clients during installation appointments.
Communicating with the Accounting Department any payment details
Accept initial payment for program fees and installation fee
Track their own work hoursAssisting the Sales & Marketing efforts for the business as an Account Manager, this position will perform the general duties as outlined below:

Maintain amicable relationships with the courts in the assigned territory
When necessary, maintain accurate and up to date log of court encounters, including date, time, point of contact, phone and other relevant details from the visit
Act as a liaison between the business and court personnel, judges, clerks and probation officers and other interested parties when called upon to do so
Forward queries regarding pricing and promotions to the appropriate Ohio AMS / BGM department
Assist in the implementation of portions of the annual sales strategies
Adhere to all Bluegrass Monitoring Policies and Procedures
Other Duties as AssignedThis position assists other Field Technicians and may provide primary coverage in the event of their absence by performing essential functions to ensure the continuity of operations. This position also assists the Sales & Marketing Manager being a local resource for the courts to reference for equipment related questions.

Qualifications, Education and/or Experience
A candidate for the position of SCRAM Field/Office Technician I must have a high school diploma or its equivalent and, at minimum, a 2-year degree in business, legal or a related field. In addition, the candidate must also have at least two (2) years experience in a for-profit setting managing a busy schedule efficiently. The education requirement may be waived for a candidate with four (4) or more years of related experience. The candidate must have reliable transportation and automobile insurance with a minimum $100,000/$300,000 bodily injury and $100,000 property damage coverage.
Excellent interpersonal, organization, written and oral communication skills; ability to work reliably without close supervision; ability to exercise discretion and a sound non-judgmental approach while interacting with staff and customers, and the ability to calmly handle multiple assignments.
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position is responsible for supervisory responsibilities as delineated in accordance with the Ohio AMS / Bluegrass Monitoring organizational chart.
Skills and Abilities
The candidate must have the ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. The ability to write simple correspondence correctly is required. Bi-lingual ability in Spanish a plus, but not required. The candidate must have the basic skills of general mathematical computation required for high school graduation. The candidate must have the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written and/or oral instructions. The ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations is required.
Proficiency with phone systems, computers, calculators, fax machines, copiers, telephone and a variety of other office/clerical equipment, computer database software and word processing software (Microsoft Word preferred). Strong organizational skills, basic knowledge of English grammar, spelling, punctuation and word definitions. Ability to communicate both verbally and in writing. Ability to perform basic typing duties. Computer literate with proficiency in database management. Work requires continual attention to detail.
