Role - Babyscripts is looking for a highly motivated, highly intelligent individual. The perfect person for this position will live and breath technology and have experience in a broad range of computer technologies. Having the capacity to learn programming languages, operating systems, databases, integrations and the like comes fairly easily to the candidate. Appreciation of knowing ?when? to use a technology and ?when not? is far more important than knowing every technology out there. Candidate should know enough about broad technology categories as to know where to further research when working on a problem. Candidate should be more concerned with getting the right and best solution rather than looking good to their peers and superiors. Integrity for the candidate?s work, and loving what they do is highly important. The candidate will be expected to present multiple possible solutions for any given problem. Ideally the candidate would be able to identify pros and cons of given solutions and technologies depending on the scenario at hand.
This position requires great breadth of knowledge, this list is not all encompassing of required experience (between 2-5 years of experience).
Qualifications
Enterprise design patterns
SDLC development, and strategies
POSIX operating system experience (Linux, BSD, etc..)
Statically typed language experience
Strong capacity for data structures, algorithmic design
Experience architecting solutions that take performance, multi-tenancy, big data (PB), concurrent programming, audit trails, as well as the constant push and pull from security and usability
Cloud infrastructure (AWS is preferable) - VPC, security groups, IAM roles, SSO
Enterprise environments and expectations (SSO, LDAP, audits, security policies
Devops and automation understanding. Capacity to identify bottleneck and issues in an organization or group and recommend as well as very often implement or thoroughly design a solution for others to implement
Excellent verbal and writing skills. Must be able to speak with business personnel and translate to/from technical domain.
Must be self motivated, and looking for a ?career? not merely a ?job?
Must be able to take and given criticism to superiors as well as colleagues.
The candidate is expected to put the organization, role, and projects before the feelings of their superiors. They must be capable of speaking their mind and not letting a potential issue, problem, or other hinderance go unchecked.
