Environmental Inspections Manager Job Opening in Odenton, Maryland - RES is the nation?s largest and most experienced provider of ecological restoration and water resource solutions. Responsibilities
Job Summary:
The Environmental Inspections Manager will be responsible for managing inspectors and tasks in designated geographic hubs. They will also lend technical support to their inspectors as needed and routinely communicate with Project Managers (PMs) on client related issues and specific inspection protocols. When applicable they will lend support for client acquisition and management. The Environmental Inspections Manager will also assist the state manager and Division Manager (DM) with day to day operations and logistics of their state as needed.
Core Responsibilities:
Provide training, scheduling and logistical support for field inspectors and team leads.
Coordinate with state and/or division manager on any inspector IT and vehicle issues.
Coordinate with PMs as needed to ensure client?s needs are being met or exceeded.
Assist PM and DM to provide technical expertise to client for any compliance issues with specific projects, provide client support by attending regulatory (local, state and/or federal) inspections as needed.
Review client contracts, with project managers, to thoroughly understand the scope of work and client specific protocols and be able to effectively communicate those needs to field personnel.
Coordinate start of work and end of work logistics with Team Lead and/or assigned field personnel.
Ensure high quality work is being done in a timely manner and within budget parameters
Coordinate with assigned Team Lead(s) to ensure quality of work is consistent.
Provide technical assistance and additional training to Team Lead(s) and field personnel as needed
Additional Responsibilities:
Create Promotional Opportunities and Job Openings in the company accounting system and pass off jobs to PMs as necessary. (state specific
Review permit documentation, SWPPPs, inspections or other work product for client, to ensure high quality of work.
Approve timesheets and expense vouchers as needed.
Ensure revenue goals of field personnel and hub are being met.
Attend marketing and client appreciation events when applicable.
Qualifications
Highly organized, detail oriented, self-starter
4 year degree in environmental sciences or a related field
2-4 years of experience with NPDES compliance or other environmental permitting (i.e. 401/404 permitting) and inspections
1-3 years of project management experience
Excellent customer service skills
Supervisory experience
