Business Financial Analyst Job Opening in California, Maryland - ZENETEX specializes in management and technology support services for a variety of federal agencies and commercial organizations. We have an opportunity for a Business Financial Analyst to provide support out of our California, MD office.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for various financial functions such as reporting, budgeting, forecasting and analysis
Support assigned Program Managers in tracking, monitoring, and reporting financial data as requested
Create, maintain, and update financial spreadsheets and databases. Maintain company standard spend plans for all assigned projects
Track performance to spend plans and budgets
Collect and review financial data from various sources
Analyze assigned contracts, monitor hours, funding, travel, material, revenue, and contract totals
Make recommendations to Management to ensure performance is within available funding and level of effort
Generate various financial reports as required
Maintain appropriate records and documentation
Assist finance and accounting in the review and approval of invoices ensuring labor and non-labor charges are approved, allowable, and processed in a timely manner
Maintain current knowledge of regulations, policies, and procedures
Provide financial support at customer reviews and provide response to routine and unique data calls
Assist in the preparation and presentation of PMRs and building team?s performance capabilities
Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor?s Degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline
Experience working effectively in teams and independently, anticipating and adapting to changing priorities, and managing multiple tasks with minimal guidance
2+ years? experience providing the above support
Strong MS Office skills, advanced Excel skill level is required
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to be discreet and maintain confidentiality
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce work with the highest degree of accuracy and quality
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Demonstrate commitment to achieving goals and objectives
Participate in special projects as required
Security Clearance
This position may require the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance, for this reason U.S. citizenship is required
