Scott Blackburn & Associates, LLC is a boutique CPA firm specializing in small businesses and their owners. We provide assurance, tax and consulting services. Our offices in downtown Frederick have an immediate opening for an entry level staff accountant. The position will be responsible for the following
Responsibilities:
Prepare business and individual federal and state tax returns
Work on Audit Compilation and Review engagements
Perform general accounting functions and interacting with clients to gather information
Assist Managers in providing tax compliance and advisory services to clients in various industries
Maintain highest quality of service to client by developing a thorough understanding of clients? business and staying abreast of tax law changes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor in accounting or similar degree.
Internship or 1 year in Public Accounting preferred.
Knowledge of tax and accounting software and technology helpful.
Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of government contractor industry practices a plus
