Job summary
The candidate will join OSS Networks development team in Operations Security and Networks (OSN) department. This vibrant team is in charge of developing and maintaining management applications for the entire SWIFT Production network. Making use of the off-the-shelf COTS products and customizing those to meet Swift's Operational, Resiliency, Supportability and Security requirements. Our Network, Customer and Security Operations depend on these tools in their day-to-day operations. These include a) Network Monitoring function based on EMC SMARTS b) Customer VPN and business services provisioning based on Comptel InstantLink c) Domain Name System (DNS) based on ISC BIND and Nominum ANS d) Configuration Management of Cisco devices using CiscoWorks e) Configuration Management of Swift Backbone Network Line Encryptors based on Safenet Security Management Center d) Authentication, Authorization and Accounting functionality based on CiscoSecure ACS/TACACS+ e) IP address management based on Infoblox IPAM appliances f) Service Orchestration of new RHEL OS and ESXi/VWWare virtualized servers using RedHat Ansible Tower. The development team is working in close collaboration with Network Solutions and operational teams. The candidate will be participating in all steps of the software development cycle, including analysis of requirements, design, implementation, testing, and support of the developed applications.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Prepare, plan, co-ordinate, lead and be responsible for the development, testing and installations of medium systems and/or projects across functional and geographical lines and review progress regularly with customers and own management.
Meet with the customer to identify needs and requirements and manage solution development ensuring effectiveness in meeting customer?s needs.
Analyse input/output requirements, information flow, technical requirements, resources needed and select between alternative systems solutions in order to make a proposal to the customer. Create complex prototypes.
Validate technical feasibility and estimates of the proposed systems solutions.
Provide functional support and leadership to staff and customers, lead and direct teams and/or medium projects and assist and give guidance in resolving problems.
Ensure production of complete systems documentation and operating procedures. Give presentations to management and customers.
May, in line with established procedures, organize, coordinate and deliver the output of one or several teams of specialists. May be consulted on people- and departmental management issues.
Lead design review meetings.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor?s/Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent discipline.
10+ years of experience in systems development for the developer profile
Knowledge and experience of Linux/UNIX operating system and scripting, Java programming language.
Experience in Operational Support System (Fault, , , Performance, Security) areas for Wireline/Data Center technologies.
Experience with any/some of common COTS like CiscoWorks, EMC SMARTS, Infoblox DDI/NA, BIND DNS, Network Configuration Managers etc.
Basic knowledge of wireline data networking using devices and strong TCP/IP socket programming. Working knowledge of Oracle databases, Packaging on HP-UX/Solaris/RHEL.
Working knowledge with ClearCase/GIT and HP Quality Center
Experience with Scrum/Agile methodology (story point estimation) and Continuous tools
