InterSpan, Inc, is a family owned temporary staffing firm that has been serving the greater Richmond area since 1995. We are aggressively growing the company and searching for a Payroll Manager to add to our management team. This position will report to the Vice President of Finance and offers the opportunity to manage the entire payroll process for our corporate office and temporary employees at our worksites.
Responsibilities
Responsible for the financial integrity and accuracy of the payroll process ensuring internal controls for the payroll cycle are operating effectively.
Continuous evaluating of the payroll process providing recommendations for improvements to the management team. Collaborating with management on implementation of improvement to overall company payroll process.
Respond to inquiries regarding pay, compensation, benefits, payroll tax and deductions from management, employees and outside agencies.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of weekly payroll.
Interface with other departments and outside client companies to obtain information needed for payroll processing.
Act as liaison to client company worksites for expedient collection of weekly time and attendance data.
Create and maintain payroll reports for weekly, quarterly and annual payroll using ADP Ireports.
Maintain ADP employee data files, entering new hires, terminations, rehires, deductions and withholding.
Provide requested payroll reports to government agencies and employment verification requests.
Preparation of payroll reports as requested by management.
Qualifications
B.S degree in Accounting, Human Resources or business related field.
5+years of payroll experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with ADP Payroll systems, Workforce Now, Ireports, Smart Compliance, ADP Aline VISA Pay Card System.
Familiar with Time Track and attendance software
Ability to prioritize work and meet weekly payroll deadlines, work efficiently under pressure and manage multiple tasks.
Knowledge of payroll procedures and Federal/State regulations related to payroll
Familiar with wage garnishments, liens and child support orders
Dedicated team member with ability to handle multiple priorities
Ability to interact on all staff levels with professionalism and confidentiality
Ability to learn industry specific software programs
Highly organized and self-motivated with strong initiative.
Salary: Commensurate with experience
