medical, Full Charge Bookkeeper Job Opening in Vienna, Virginia - This is a Gynecology Private Practice with one physician. We are looking for an seasoned medical bookkeeper, and who has some knowledge of medical billing. We do not do medical billing in our office, but patients often need assistance in filing their claim and understanding their reimbursements.
The new employee will keep daily accounting of the medical practice and keep up to date Quickbooks for monthly accounting. The bookkeeper will prepare monthly financials for the practice physician, and will work closely with the office CPA. Estimates and projections of income will be tallied and expenditures will be estimated on an ongoing basis.
The bookkeeper will pay the office bills, by careful evaluating each charge, then preparing checks for physician to sign bills. An accurate accounting of all lab fees and patient charges will be verified on an ongoing basis. The bookkeeper will be responsible for discussing charges with the patients and hearing patient complaints.
Part of this new position will entail developing a merchandise tracking system within the office for supplements and medication. The Bookkeeper will make sure all charges marked are correct on good sold and reorder if needed.
The bookkeeper will work with ADP in administering the payroll. She will also serve as a human resource person, keeping track of salaries, bonuses, hours worked, days off for each employee including sic and vacation days.
